From the Diocese & The Episcopal Church (at Large)
September 2026 has been designated as a time when we, as congregations, are invited to reflect on Creation Care and Environmental Stewardship. Bishop Sally French and the members of the creation care committee have invited each parish, mission, and ministry to consider its environmental impact. We’d love to have 2-3 people from the parish who are interested in these concerns to lead us in assessing the parish’s carbon footprint and in making concerted efforts to reduce our impact on creation. If this sounds like something you are interested in, please contact Mother Kim to get access to the Congregational Green Assessment for Church of the Holy Spirit.

In Our Community
At Open Cupboard, we're now serving an average of 150 families every week—and food is leaving our shelves. These are our neighbors, many facing rising grocery costs and difficult choices between paying bills and putting food on the table.

Stewardship
Sunday, September 13, bring your favorite breakfast/ brunch item to share during our Potluck “Rooted in Abundance” Breakfast. It's a celebration of how far we’ve come since our first service 60 years ago at the Clinton Community Center! Join us and share in the good gifts God has given us.

Meditation Monday - Starting Monday, September 14, an email will be sent to all parishioners as part of the 2027 Stewardship Campaign. These weekly readings will include a question for your personal reflection. Individuals who have volunteered will provide their personal reflection in a 3-5 minute presentation before the sermon on the following Sunday. (If you don't get our weekly enewsletter, sign up using the button at the bottom of this page!)
Aspirational Budget - Included with the first mailing of our Pledge campaign, the Aspirational Budget/ Plan document has been published on our website. We know it’s a lot of information and detail, and it’s 15 pages long. BUT this document brings together all the hopes and dreams of our community, expressed over the last year, about what God has called us to do and how we could possibly do it all. There are a few hard copies available in the narthex.
Don't fall for Whaling! Be smart. Be safe!
Read about these scams and what you should do.
WE CARE - WE CARE is running!
There are many facets to WE CARE and volunteers are also needed to write a little note of encouragement or pay a short visit. Drivers are especially needed. Any questions please talk with Susan Kane or Liz Cannizzaro. |
