The Pancake Stack raised just over $500 for the Bonnie Brae boys to attend camp this summer. They had a great showing as a new team at the tournament and lots of fun. Jake Altom was awarded “Play of the Day” for sliding through the mud while catching the frisbee in the end zone to earn the team a point. The team also received the “Most Team Spirit” award. They are already looking forward to next year, when they hope to convince CHS adults to form a team. See all the photos (thanks, Michelle Marlow!) here>
From the Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser - What a wonderful evening. Spaghetti dinner at church sponsored by the youth group, capped off by a slide show and talk by Philip Carr-Jones on his hike up Mt Kilimanjaro. We had to set up additional tables to accommodate the additional people. It was a terrific night of fellowship, and the kids made well over their goal to redecorate the youth room.
