Good Friday Knitting/Crocheting Project Becomes Year-Round Ministry
What began as a Good Friday Day of Service has blossomed into a year-long opportunity to share love and warmth through handmade gifts. This past Good Friday, a group of our talented knitters and crocheters gathered to create cozy neck cowls for the men and women served by the Seamen’s Church Institute. Together we completed 12 beautiful cowls and sent them off to Newark.
The good news? This effort didn’t stop there! Thanks to the ongoing dedication of Linda West-whose latest 12 cowls are pictured-the ministry is continuing throughout the year.
We invite everyone to join us in this meaningful project. Whether you can make one cowl or several, each one is a gift of comfort and care. Completed cowls can be delivered to Mary Scott. Once we collect a dozen, Mary will send them to the institute.
