Opportunities in Lent

Beginning after Ash Wednesday, February 18, 2026 these opportunities will be available:

Episcopal FAQs - Sundays after the 10:00 service or Tuesday Zoom at 6 pm

Picture
Episcopal FAQs  This book-based discussion about frequently asked questions in the Episcopal tradition is a course for all people in the parish. We will discuss the Episcopal Church’s polity, theological grounding, history, and position in the world today. There are two options for participation:  in person on Sunday’s at 11:30am, OR on Thursday evening via Zoom at 6 pm.  You do not need to read the book, but it would be helpful because we will use it as a starting point for each conversation.  The book is Walk in Love by Scott Gunn and Melody Wilson Shobe.

Lectio Divina Practice - Thursdays at 10:30 am

If you are looking for a new spiritual practice to adopt in Lent - join Mother Kim in the Burton Chapel (live streamed on FB)  on Tuesday’s at 9:30 am in a guided Lectio Divina Reflection on the Gospel reading for the coming Sunday.  Lectio Divina is a prayer practice which uses scripture as the starting point for reading, reflecting, praying and contemplating God’s word in our own lives.  No previous experience required, bring a journal and writing utensil or other writing device for this 30-minute opportunity to pray.
