The vestry and rector are excited to announce plans to hire a Minister of Music to expand our music programs, beginning in the Fall. This individual will not only provide direction to the choir and support for congregational worship on organ and piano but will work collaboratively with the various ministries, missions, and programs of the parish, approach worship creatively, and build networks in and around Lebanon within the arts community. CHS leadership has therefore not renewed the contract of the Director of Music, Alexei Tartakovsky. We recognize that Alexei is a brilliant musician, a world-class pianist, and has been a companion along the way over these last years. His tenure as our Director of Music will officially ends on June 30, 2026, with his last service in that role being June 28th. When the parish's future music ministry staffing plans were discussed with Alexei, we encouraged him to apply for the new position if he felt it would be a good fit. We will see where the Holy Spirit leads him and us.
For the summer, there will be no choir, and accompaniment for hymns and service music will be provided by either parishioners or supply musicians. The services for July 5th will be spoken.
Plans for the choirs will be made after the summer.

The CHS Bell Choir welcomes you to join. All you need is a desire to play. We will teach you whatever is needed to bring a new player up speed. To learn more contact Tricia Simpson-Curtin, [email protected]. Rehearsals are the first Thursday and third Sunday of the month.
