June 15, July 13 and August 10 from 7-8 p.m.
Are you looking for an enjoyable summer evening filled with witty, fun, thoughtful, meaningful and entertaining readings? Father Phil has come up with at great social opportunity post Covid, to visit with one another in person and discover ways of reading the beauty of words written for fun, praise and prayer, and pure pleasure. There are no limits…a special poem, a children’s story, a favorite author…
Come to the Parables, Poems, Plays, Prayers and Prose on the Porch (P6) at Church of the Holy Spirit. This is a summer series on the CHS Porch on June 15, July 13 and August 10 from 7-8 pm. Refreshments will be served.
All are welcome to participate and or listen to the many voices who will share interesting readings and learn more about how to best interpret the works chosen. As part of the CHS school this year, there has been a group that has been doing just that and would like to share with you as well as have you join us in reading what is meaningful for you. All CHS readers or others are also welcome to read from the BCP, a prayer, a collect, or a parable.
If you would like to share something for one of the sessions, please send it to Janet Matts email@example.com to be included in a booklet that we will distribute to all attendees. Include your name, the piece you would like to read, as well as the reason that you chose it. All entries to be included in the booklet need to be received no later than June 1. If you would like to share something at a later date, just bring copies to share.
If you would like to participate, but don’t have a reading, no worries. We will provide selections that you can choose from as well.
