The children of CHS have been gathering each Sunday to hear the gospel and tie fleece blankets. They have completed twelve blankets to donate to the Hunterdon/Warren chapter of Project Linus on March 18th.
Thank you Mollie, Patrick, Colin, Lily, Evan, Davison, Chloe, and Aubrey. Your hands have done many good works for others. We have begun opening our time together with the same prayer each week from the Book of Common Prayer: Almighty and eternal God, draw our hearts to you, guide our minds, fill our imaginations, control our wills, so that we may be wholly yours, utterly dedicated to you; and then use us, we pray, as you will and always to your glory and to the welfare of your people; through our Lord and Savior Jesus Chris. Amen. Children's Formation and Youth Group: We are beginning bucket drumming practice! Practices will be on December 1st at 10am, December 8th at 9am, and December 15th at 9:35 am. Our performances will be on the 15th during the 10:00 am service and at the 4 pm service on Christmas Eve, the 24th.
We will sing Holy Night, Wondrous Night with the choir at 10 am on December 22nd. All are welcome whether they've practiced or not! Practice is December 22nd at 9:35am. Children's Mailbags & Volunteers: All are welcome to give notes to our children in their bags that hang in the St. Nicholas Room off the Narthex. We are in need of adult volunteers to make knotted blankets with the children in January and February. Please use our signup link: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60B0A49ADA82AABFC1-sunday#/ Week 1: Lindsay & Liz led three children as they created mailbags to hang in the St. Nicholas room. These are available all school year for parishioners to add to. Please consider writing a simple note of encouragement, prayer, riddles, love, or acknowledgement to one or all of our children.
Week 2: Eva & Lindsay helped five children write letters to our college-attending parishioners. Twelve letters were mailed! Week 3: Anne & Tricia helped three children write thirteen letters to some of our We Care recipients. Thank you Susan and Liz for providing addresses. Formation starts TODAY, with the children creating a mailbox for themselves that will be in the St Nick room. All are welcome to give the children encouragement delivering notes in these bags! Please no food or trinkets just notes.
Beginning October 6th and continuing through June 8th, Pentecost, children of all ages are welcome to join in our 10 A M gatherings in the St. Nicholas room on the first three Sundays of each month. We will hear the gospel and complete several special service projects together.
In order for these gatherings to take place, we need to have two adults present. One leader and one helper will need to sign up ahead of time. If you feel this is something you can do, please email Lindsay Wyglendowski at [email protected] |
