Our Buildings and Grounds
The physical presence of the Church of the Holy Spirit is welcoming, reverent, inspiring, and yet practical. Our modern, well-maintained building was architecturally designed with flexibility to serve many purposes and changing needs.
The basic furnishings of our sanctuary – the pews, the altar, the ambo – are moveable and can be configured in numerous ways to make a theological statement or to accentuate the message of the liturgical season. These were created by a master carpenter, a friend of the parish from Senegal.
Our narthex is very unlike a crowded church vestibule. It is a large open space (half the size of the sanctuary), flooded with light. Here we gather before and after services and for meetings and receptions. It was intentionally designed to support a coffee hour ministry that encourages people to linger, connect, and get involved.
Additional indoor spaces

The original sanctuary was converted to Dove Hall, a fellowship and event space used to host church breakfasts, annual parish meetings, ministries, fundraisers, even art shows, and is rented for wedding receptions and family celebrations.

Our outside space includes a six-acre lot with ample space for parking, celebratory bonfires, picnics, games or setting up outdoor events.
The Memorial Garden, completed in 1993, is an integral part of the Japanese-garden-inspired landscaping around our church building. The cremains of our departed loved ones are interred in that peaceful place of remembrance, and their names are placed on the Memorial Wall.
Creative Gifts. Our building reflects the creative talent of members and friends of CHS. Nothing exemplifies this better than the 18 unique stained-glass "Windows of the Spirit," designed and fabricated for our sanctuary and narthex. https://www.churchholyspirit.org/windows-of-the-spirit.html. Artists of all kinds are drawn to Holy Spirit. Their works make our church a place of peace and beauty, as shown in the photos.
