​Inviting all women of CHS - Did you know that CHS has a chapter of The Daughters of the King?  The daughters are a 141 year old order of the Episcopal Church whose mission is "the extension of Christ's Kingdom through Prayer, Service and Evangelism."  We are a close group who support our Rector, the parish and each other.  Membership is open to all women in the parish.  If you're interested in more information, please contact Wendy Hallstrom at whhallstrom@gmail.com.  Wendy will be available during coffee hour on June 28th to answer questions.

Please sign up by Sunday May 24th if you plan to attend the ball game on Friday, July 10, 2026. We have 50 tickets on hold, and last year they went fast. Please sign up as soon as possible so I can give the stadium an accurate headcount and determine whether we need to reserve additional tickets as we did last year. 

Please indicate in the public comment section when you sign up,  if your child or children would like to participate in the on field promotional games. There is no guarantee that any of our kids will be selected, but they do get chosen from time to time.

For the month of June, we will be hosting a series of conversations about the lives of LGBTQIA+ Episcopalians. You can watch the films on your own, or, if you cannot access the listed streaming platforms, contact Mother Kim to find a time to watch them at CHS.  ​

 Please note that on Sunday, May 24, we will have one service at 9 am to bring the entire congregation together to celebrate the arrival of the Holy Spirit.

• Bring a candle from home (unscented)
• Plan to stay for cake to celebrate the birthday of the church

THE MILL TO MILL PEACE FLAG PROJECT, sponsored by The Red Mill Museum Village and the Hunterdon Art Museum, is a planned public art display of handmade peace flags that will represent a shared expression of hope, unity and goodwill. Participants will create peace flags of uniform size, with a goal of 500 flags to span the Clinton bridge connecting the two museums. Inspired by the Tibetan prayer flags, each piece will be made on organic muslin to disintegrate over time, releasing messages of peace into the world.

Several flag-making workshops are being held in the area, including a very special workshop hosted by Church of the Holy Spirit. Each flag should reflect the maker’s personal interpretation of the question: “What does peace look like to you?” Through symbols, colors, words, images or textures, every flag will become a message of peace carried outward into the world. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts. (Colossians 3:15)

WHERE? Church of the Holy Spirit, 3 Haytown Road, Lebanon, NJ
​WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING? Bring yourself, your ideas about peace, and your creativity. Flags, stencils, and markers will be provided. We encourage you to bring other materials, such as fabric paint/markers, beads,yarn, or other decorations. In addition to making the flags, the museumis asking for written contributions about what peace means to you. These will be collected into a digital compilation along with images of the flags to be displayed at the Hunterdon Art Museum.

A voluntary contribution of $5 will defray the cost of supplies.

You're invited to join the Holy Spirit Sangha for Mindfulness Meditation in the Plum Village Tradition (PlumVillage.org) of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh.

We practice slowing down, listening, and re-connecting our minds and bodies. If you'd like to sit on a cushion and mat (or folded towel or yoga mat), please bring one from home.  Chairs will also be available if that's more comfortable.

In April, Episcopal Community Services of the Diocese of New Jersey (ECS–NJ) issued $111K in ECS–NJ Grants to fund Nine projects in seven counties in New Jersey.
The ECS–NJ grants are designed to expand existing compassion and justice ministries of congregations or make new ones possible. Projects address one or more of the following:

• To meet human need in underserved and marginalized communities, especially communities of color.
• To engage, collaborate and partner with other organizations, including faith-based, secular, community, governmental, etc.
• To encourage advocacy for issues relating to social justice, including spearheading new advocacy efforts.
